History of the Callaghan Neighbourhood

In its final stage of development, this community is located in the South of the city and is known as the first ‘wellness’ community in Edmonton. It takes advantage of the Blackmud Creek Ravine that runs along its border, offering residents a huge network of walking trails within the old wooded area. The community itself has built up an impressive series of paths that are incorporated into parks and the pond area to encourage residents to maintain a healthier lifestyle. This all contributes to its label of ‘wellness.’

The community consists of a blend between large estate homes, large single-family homes and luxury townhomes and condos. Although the community is currently in its seventh and final stage of development, there is land set aside for future development that is slated for multifamily dwellings.


Callaghan Home Owners Association (HOA)

There is currently no Homeowner’s Association or Community league associated with the community of Callaghan.


Amenities Near Callaghan

Some of the fantastic benefits of this area are the ones built right into the community, such as the walking and bike trails. As far as outside the community goes, you couldn’t be in a more convenient place.
